Background. Her passion for this industry started at a very young age with designing and sewing her clothes. In High School she won a National Award from Betty Crocker Inc. for her sewing skills. At Drexel University she studied Design and Merchandising and worked as an apprentice with a tailor. She transferred to Philadelphia University to gain even more knowledge about fabrics and received a BS Degree in Textile Design. She started a sewing school for Sears where she taught classes all through her college years.
After college led to a 15 year career as a retail executive in District Management and Training Management. 1991 she went back to her sewing passion and founded Drapery Design, which started as a workroom to the trade from her basement and eventually grew to a retail location. Today she is an independent drapery designer with a small showroom inside a home furnishings store.

Some things I love. On a personal note some of my favorite things besides creating window treatments!
Walking my rescue Husky early every morning.
Climbing Mt Kearsarge in New Hampshire every summer with family members.
Drinking a green smoothie every morning. (A blender drink with greens and fruit. Oprah also drinks one a day! A better energizer than coffee.)
Reading a good book and discussing with my book club friends for over 15 years.
