DRAPERY DESIGN’S EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY IS ATTAINABLE
Drapery Design prides itself on its commitment to bringing you custom products with exceptional quality standards and construction techniques. Recognizing that you have different expectations and budgets for your projects, we have developed three pricing levels for you to choose from: Simplified, Premium and Couture. All three levels maintain our high quality standards; the differences are in the price level of the components and the number of additional options you choose. So you really do have control over the pricing by the choices you make.
We carry lines in all products that reflect the Simplified/Premium/Couture philosophy. To better understand the concept, we explain here the differences in the drapery products:
Simplified drapery treatments are custom made with fine workmanship using lower-priced solid linen or silk fabrics in basic design styles lined with a high quality napped sateen lining. Many times we see ready-made draperies in someone’s house that are too short or too long and they always have those tell-tale folded package creases that are impossible to iron out. Customers are thrilled to learn they can stay within the same price range and have well-fitted custom draperies! Depending on fabric selection, the price for one pair of Simplified lined panels pleated to cover a four-foot rod is in the $500 to $620 range.
Premium treatments will also be custom made with fine craftsmanship and will include several fabric and embellishment upgrades. In this category we can design creative individualized treatments specifically for your room! Embellishments may be added such as braids, trims, or contrast fabric bands. Depending on fabric selection and upgrades chosen the price for one pair of premium lined panels pleated to cover a four foot rod is in the $620 to $920 range.
Couture treatments are luxurious, sophisticated custom draperies that add even more custom detailing. Fabrics may be upgraded to designer brands, but even simplified fabrics can be dressed up for a couture look. These draperies include flannel interlining, an additional layer of flannel lining inserted between the face fabric and the sateen lining, giving a more luxurious appearance. Interlining protects the face fabric from sun damage and controls drafts and seepage of hot or cold air into the room. Multiple embellishments are added to a couture drapery. Tassels, fringes, braids, bands, ruffles, buttons and even nail heads and monograms are used in varying combinations. A popular detail today is micro cording which finishes the edge of a treatment very cleanly. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination. Depending on fabric selection and embellishments and options chosen, the price for one pair of couture lined panels pleated to cover a four foot rod is in the $920-$1,520 range.
